MEGADETH played to a sold out show tonight in Santiago, Chile. Setlist consisted of a whopping 27 songs played over a 2 hour period.
Production Asst/Office Manager, Tracey Wiedeman reported from the production room, backstage in Santiago immediately after the show... "What an incredible night! The fans were amazing!
Hook In Mouth was added in on the fly when Dave said they only had one song left. The crowd demanded more so Dave gave 'em more!
No encore; they stayed on stage. Due to the fan response, Dave walked over to Glen, then walked over to Jimmy then to Shawn and turned to the crowd and said we will do two more! They went nuts! Insanity!"

Droogies and She Wolves!
Well, the Chilean show was fantastic! And except for the 500 people who rioted outside the venue, the 24 that got arrested, the wall that was pulled down and the car that was destroyed, everything went smooth as a baby´s bottom.
We are now in the VIP lounge at the Santiago Airport, getting ready to fly to Buenos Aires, Argentina. I can not tell you how excited I am to play here one more time. We are going to be filming this show as some of you may know, and visiting a lot of the city's sights and sounds.
Tonight we are going to by far the best Steak house in the world. My personal favorite-Happenings! And I have asked Glen if he wants to go for a walk with me tomorrow or the next day to play some songs in the park outside our hotel. So if you see two Gringos with guitars singing heavy songs on acoustic (hehehe) you will know it is us.
To all the beautiful people of Chile, I am glad I got to see you all once again. You are fabulous and we love you all.

El concierto estuvo increible, Megadeth tiene una relación muy cercana con los fans de Chile y Argentina, debido al buen recibimiento que siempre se les ha dado por acá. Puede parecer que tienen cierta preferencia por Argentina, pero yo creo que se debe solo a que el publico Argentino en mucho más numeroso, por un simple asunto demográfico. Una lástima los incidentes afuera, causados por gente que quedo sin entrada, aunque no me extrañaria enterarme que gente con entrada quedo afuera. La entrada al Court central era un caos, parece que las productoras aun no aprenden la lección. Nada que decir de la banda. Simplemente demoledores.

Que bien que hayas ido a ver a Megadeth. A mi antes cuando tenía como 3 años me gustaban, ahora no, es música muy fuerte para mi, osh. Y si, uno se siente tan bakán cuando tus artistas preferidos hablan bien de tu país, es como ohh que bakán jaja =P

A mí no me gusta Megadeth, y tampoco soy muy de conciertos (de estos que se escuchan de pie, al menos), pero definitivamente leer el comentario es bacán. No me sorprende que el concierto fuera bueno: es evidente que a estos tipos les gusta lo que hacen, y se preocupan de tener a sus fans contentos. Al menos eso entendí yo de lo que escribieron.
